The primary neutral point or primary circuit of the neutral point (or arc suppression coil, or distribution transformer) at the machine end should be uninsured and reliably grounded.
When the neutral point of the generator is grounded through the arc suppression coil, the arc suppression coil should be under-compensated and the setting value should be increased appropriately to prevent the protection from malfunctioning when a single-phase grounding fault occurs on the low-voltage side of the high-voltage transformer.
Zero-sequence voltage stator grounding protection can be set up with two sections of fixed value. One section is a low-set value sensitive section.
